Why should Law Enforcement Professionals attend the 44th Juvenile Justice Symposium?

The Juvenile Justice Symposium provides a learning environment where interactive presentations and impactful discussions are presented to increase the capacity of law enforcement officers to address juvenile victimization, delinquency, and crime from an holistic perspective. To accomplish this goal, this year the symposium will offer sessions that:

• Increase the focus on juvenile justice issues relative to law enforcement, • Educate law enforcement officers on pertinent juvenile justice issues, • Assist law enforcement officers and agencies in the identification of trends, resources, and community partnerships that may help to identify best practice responses to improve and promote the safety and well-being of youth in their communities, • Encourage the development of innovative and effective prevention and/or intervention programs that can divert youth from the juvenile justice system.

Additionally, municipal law enforcement officers will be able to obtain up to 12 LEO post credits. PENDING APPROVAL

The Juvenile Justice Symposium provides a learning environment where interactive presentations and impactful discussions are presented to increase the capacity of educators to address truancy, child development, classroom management, and behavioral problems from an holistic perspective. To accomplish this goal, this year the symposium will offer sessions that:

• Encourage educators to develop more reasoned and developmentally appropriate responses to school-based behavioral issues, • Educate teachers and administrators on pertinent juvenile justice issues, • Encourage the development of innovative and effective prevention and/or intervention strategies and programs that can divert youth from the juvenile justice system, • Improve educator’s effectiveness in promoting a safe, learning environment.

Additionally, educators will be able to obtain up to 11 EDU credits. PENDING APPROVAL

Cancellations/Changes and Refunds: To honor early bird and student registration fees, all payments must be submitted before July 31, 2023. All early bird and student registration payments made after July 31 will be charged the onsite registration fee of $250.00. Fees will be refunded, less a $45.00 processing fee, if cancellation or change resulting in a refund is received in writing no later than July 10, 2023. After that date, fees are non-refundable. All refunds will be processed after the conference. Substitutions are allowed at no charge.

NCADD reserves the right to cancel the event due to low enrollment or other circumstances (COVID-19, etc.). If NCADD cancels or postposes the event, registrants will be offered an individual or agency CREDIT for new, future date and will be notified via email. Resort Fee: $14 + Tax       

Single or double occupancy is considered the same regarding units blocked and rates.  Rates are net, non-commissionable.  There is a $14.00 resort fee per room per night.

Room rates are subject to Harrison County accommodations tax, currently five percent (5%) and state sales tax of seven percent (7%) per night.  Resort fees are subject to state sales tax of seven percent (7%) per night.  County and state taxes may be subject to increase without prior notice. 

Please be advised that all rates quoted are per room, per night, allowing for single or double occupancy.    View Rooms, our standard rooms with a guaranteed view of the Biloxi Bay or Gulf of Mexico, are available for an additional charge of $20.00 plus tax, per night.  Any rooms requiring triple or quad occupancy will be surcharged an additional $20 plus tax per room, per night, per adult.  (Children aged 17 and under, in the same room with parents in existing bedding, are no additional charge.)  Rollaway beds and baby cribs are available upon request for an additional $20 plus tax per room per night. 

 DEADLINE FOR MAKING RESERVATIONS

Reservations must be received by the Hotel before August 7, 2023.  Any unsold rooms remaining in this block will be automatically released on this day and returned to the Hotel for general sale.

 PAYMENT

Credit card will be charged at time of making reservation for first night’s room and tax.

Attendees will be responsible for paying their own room, taxes, resort fees and incidental charges.

Checks cannot be accepted at check-in or check-out.

A credit card is required at check-in.

 If paying for a room with a check When the reservation is made, it will be entered as non-guaranteed reservation. Payment for the full amount of room, tax, and resort fee for all nights (provided at time of reservation) must be received within two weeks after making the reservation or two weeks prior to arrival (whichever date comes first). If payment is not received within two weeks after making the reservation or two weeks prior to arrival (whichever comes first) the reservation will be automatically cancelled. The hotel front desk does not accept checks at check-in.

The following information is REQUIRED and MUST BE INCLUDED when sending check as prepayment for room:

o    Name of Guest(s) on each reservation that the check amount is to cover

o    Reservation Confirmation Number(s)

o    Group/Convention Name 

o    Arrival Date for each reservation that check is to cover

 CHECK-IN

Check in time begins at 4:00 pm and checkout time is by 11:00 am. 

All guests are required to present a valid credit or debit card at check in along with a valid photo ID.  A security deposit authorization of $100 will immediately be placed on the account of the card presented.  If using a debit card, this authorization could affect the account balance for a period of up to 30 days.  IP Casino Resort Spa cannot assume liability for overdrawn accounts.  Credit cards are recommended.
